Slovak Republic :: Trnava :: Property News
British car components supplier TI Automotive has started building a new plant in the industrial park just outside Trnava.
From August, the plant will produce brake cable systems and wire bundles for cars produced by Peugeot, who recently moved their manufacturing plant from Coventry in the UK, to Trnava.
Component parts for Peugeot have been imported from the Czech Republic and the new plant will mean reduced logistical costs.
TI Automotive is among the first in a wave of ancillary companies shifting operations to Trnava, and the surrounding area to support Peugeot. The obvious effect is falling unemployment - one of the lowest in Slovakia - and increased wealth for the local population.
And the squeeze on available new build apartments and houses for sale or rent will tighten, as more workers flood into the city from other parts of Slovakia - which will increase competition amongst buyers and tenants.
